Somalia famine
Relentless violence compounded by a terrible drought is taking a shocking toll on Somalia, with more than one quarter of its 7.5 million people now either internally displaced or living outside the country as refugees. Many young children are in such a weak condition it is difficult to save their lives.
Bright Futures is directing all support through our partners World Relief Australia to benefit Mission Aviation Fellowship with air ambulance, medical practitioner transport and delivery of food and medical supplies to refugee camps. We invite you to donate today to help people in need.
The surging number of people who arrive daily in eastern Kenya’s Dadaab camp, the largest refugee camp in the world, has mobilised humanitarian agencies. The need for food, shelter, health services and other life saving aid is urgent and massive. Relief flights which airlift the sickest to medical help as well as carrying medical and food supplies to support the work of volunteer medical teams are essential.
Key Areas of Expenditure:
• air ambulance services
• flying relief workers and medical personnel
• facilitating provision of food & medical supplies to those suffering
