Change is possible!
Education is transformative – it allows children to be full participants in their communities. It changes the lives of the lives of their family and the generations that follow them.
Yesterday Her Excellency, the Governor of South Australia, Frances Adamson AC, visited Bright Futures’ Indian partner, Bangalore City Mission’s Sinclair’s High School.
The Governor visited in response to an invitation from our Chair, Cameron Bryson, at a recent reception at Government House to mark Bright Futures’ 20th Anniversary. We didn’t know that Ms Adamson would take up the invitation so promptly!
It will be of no surprise that Jonathon and the team at BCM did us proud. Ms Adamson had an opportunity to meet staff and students and see the plans for the second Sinclair’s High School campus at Rajankunte.
In a SMS to me immediately after the visit, the Governor’s private secretary (himself a former Australian ambassador) said the visit was “One of the best mornings of my entire 35 year career in foreign affairs.”
Education is transformative – it allows children to be full participants in their communities. It changes the lives of the lives of their family and the generations that follow them.
